EGA members have access to high quality, reliable, and affordable Workers’ Compensation coverage, as well as access to extensive Safety and Employee Assistance programs.
Members must be one of the following public entities in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts:
- School District
- Vocational, Charter and Collaborative School
- Municipal Water, Fire, and Sewer District
MEGA members commit to these expectations:
- Report all claims to CCMSI, preferably within 24 hours, but no later than 5 days.
- Pay all MEGA invoices in a timely fashion.
- Participate in MEGA’s audit/payroll processes.
- Attend all scheduled loss control visits.
Employee Assistance Program
MEGA’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) includes crisis intervention, individual counseling, and resources on numerous topics to the member’s employees and their family household members. Organizational development, training for supervisors and health fair participation are included for the member organization.
MEGA’s Loss Control Program includes organizational training on such items as establishing a safety policy, accident investigation, and management goals as well as employee training programs. Monthly Safety Risk Reminders, quarterly regional safety trainings, and Train the Trainer presentations are all designed to help our membership create a safe and healthy work environment for their employees.
iCE—Claims Reporting System
Members have access to iCE, an online system that allows members to report and access their claims 24/7/365. Electronic transmission of Form 101 to the DIA is also provided at no additional cost to the membership.
